Otieno Kennedy Rabala belongs to Maasai Mbili studio. He is one of those who has raised the Maasai Mbili studio highly reputed. His paintings are designed to document everyday occurrences, scenes in slum, such as traffic jam, ladies from market or women who being beated by her husband. ?The things that are happening in Kibera make me want to paint the ghetto, the Kibera life, the slum life.? Besides his representive painting style, the exhibition contains his new series which uses mix media such as trash, branch with paint. |
